1. Who we are
Clocked ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered chess opponent intelligence tool available at clocked-ai.com. We help chess players research opponents before games. You can contact us at hello.clocked@outlook.com.
2. What data we collect
When you create an account we collect your name, email address, country, and optionally your Lichess and Chess.com usernames. When you use the app we store the scouting reports you generate. We collect payment information through Stripe โ we never store your card details directly. We may collect basic usage data to improve the service.
3. How we use your data
We use your data to provide the Clocked service, process payments, send you transactional emails (welcome, limit reminders, upgrade confirmations), and send occasional chess tips. We do not sell your data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.
4. Third party services
We use the following third party services: Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Anthropic Claude and OpenAI (AI report generation), Lichess and Chess.com APIs (public game data). Each service has their own privacy policy.
5. Public chess data
Clocked analyses publicly available chess game data from Lichess and Chess.com. This data is already publicly accessible on those platforms. We do not store opponent game data permanently โ reports are cached for 24 hours then discarded.
6. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Free user reports expire after 24 hours. Pro user reports are stored permanently. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing hello.clocked@outlook.com.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. You can update your information in the Settings page. To request full account deletion or a copy of your data, contact us at hello.clocked@outlook.com. If you are in the EU, you have additional rights under GDPR.
8. Cookies
We use essential cookies only โ these are required for authentication and keeping you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of Clocked after changes means you accept the updated policy.
